Meet Matt Henson, Matt started the club with his good friend Jason who you will meet below. You can see that Matt has a passion for football, at nearly 50 years old, he still plays and wins.

Matts football life began when he was 8 years old, he has played at a reasonably high level and has won many trophies (which his wife used as door stops). Matt is the co-manager with Darren for the founding team and loves training them every week and watching them run round in matches, they don't always win but Matt will always make sure they have a smile on their faces after a game. Away from managing, Matt is also the club secretary and treasurer, he has his hands full but really wouldn't change a thing, the passion for football runs deep in this one.

Meet Amanda Curtis, part of the coaching team. Amanda joined Honeybourne Harriers 2 years ago to help her son Kristian and husband Peter (who you will meet shortly). Amanda realised very soon that she really enjoyed coaching and when the opportunity to participate in the Lioness programme run by Worcestershire FA came along she was the first to sign up. Now Amanda has qualified as a level 1 coach and mini football referee. She loves being a coach, development both individually and as a team is really important to her. She has enjoyed every part of her time at Honeybourne Harriers and looks forward to what the future brings to both the team and club.

Meet Darren Buckland, Darren came along to Honeybourne Harriers because his son Jacob wanted to join, he went along with the intention of being on the sidelines cheering on his son and the rest of the team but somehow got introduced to running the line and then helping on training nights to helping run the match days (he's now joint coach, he just doesn't accept it).

Darren (in his younger days) played football 3 times a week but had to give it up at the ripe old age 28 due to an injury. Darren now co-manages with Matt and has been a part of the club from the outset, he loves it, he loves to see the smiles on the faces of every child when they score a goal and is proud to be part of a great club with a great family feel. Darren likes hats!!!!!

Meet Sam, Sam is very new to coaching having only coached for 5 years but having played 11 years, he captained his team for 5 years. Sam started his coaching career at 18 and became a level 2 coach by the age of 20 while coaching a range of different ages. He believes coaching is so amazing and for any young person interested in coaching, they should look into it, the joy and fun you get out of it for both yourself and those children you coach is amazing . Coaching for Sam has never been about the win but to improve, help, teach and hopefully change and improve lives. Away from the game I coach sports in education and follow Chelsea FC constantly (never mind!!!)

Meet Peter Curtis. He has been at Honeybourne Harriers for the last couple of seasons. He joined to help Kristian and now has a major role in the coaching team with Amanda and Kristian. Pete will be undertaking his FA coaching course as soon as possible, not that he needs it. Pete enjoys being part of the coaching team, he also is the chief pitch white liner, we think it gives him a break from his other half ;-) He supports Liverpool and to be honest, this alone makes him a superstar.

Meet Kristian Moffat. Kristian has been with Honeybourne harriers for the last 3 seasons, working a long side a coaching course at Hartpury college. Kristian has seen the team growing from strength to strength and has really enjoyed it, apart from listening to his mum:). Kristian is a qualified level 1 coach, taking his coaching course when he was 16. Away from coaching Kristian has a passion for football after playing from a young age and now enjoys playing Sunday league football for Shipston, and supports a quality football team in Manchester United.
